After a week of swirling rumors that the Portuguese Football Federation has been earmarking Jose Mourinho to take over the coaching job on an interim basis for the next two qualifiers in October, Mourinho and sporting director Jorge Valdano both agreed that Mourinho would not be taking that job citing that the Portuguese Football Federation has not even lodged an official request with Madrid for Mourinho's services. No worries Mou, I'm sure he will be at the helm steering Portugal to international success at least once in his lifetime in football.
